er, viv, no hw on tues, and as for today we had a chem ws.
80 questions on naming compounds. ionic and covalent.
maybe you better tell someone to bring it to you.
oh and here are the rules for naming covalent compounds.
1) keep name of first element
2) add -ide to the next. (so far still the same...)
3) add a prefix so you know how many of each there are. eg: carbon dioxide.
prefixes:
1-mono
2-di
3-tri
4-tetra
5-penta
6-hexa
7-hepta
8-octa
9-nona (don't laugh)
10-deca
